I’ve just been listening to Slide honestly and ignoring the rest of the album.

I think the production on both volumes aside from a few choices on "V.2" are equal but prefer the performance on "V.1".

I only heard the album once on launch night, then just spun the latest version again about an hour ago

Honestly things are sounding pretty solid at this point - Fried and one or two other tracks still need some mix/EQ work for sure, but the other fixes have definitely turned a lot of the tracks around for me. River in particular sounds great like this, and the new My Soul is really good too imo. Good to have 530 in CDQ now as well even if the mumbles are still there.

I'm being critical while some of y'all are blatantly being biased stans.

If you genuinely enjoy it, that's cool I guess.

But as someone who expects more from someone who's dropped 6 classics in the past & was an perfectionist at one point in his career who didn't s*** out poorly mixed demo tapes with AI references as full albums.

tbh the biggest reason i ever wanted can u be is bc of the clockwork orange score sample that sounded so cinematic and s***. but funnily enough , slide is exactly what i wanted from can u be. the production is what i needed
