nobody's saying he doesn't write his own lyrics tho lol and none of the lyrics on Heard Em Say hit as hard as some of the ones Rhymefest, Malik Yusef or his usual team wrote for him because being socially conscious & pro-Black was never just for show for them.

That's not to knock Kanye overall as an MC but he was never as good as the backpack rappers he relied on to get respect. Kanye has had moments where he snapped tho, as far as we know nobody helped him on Watch the Throne. I think the more pro-Black songs were a result of Jay's influence than his own but he was still able to come up with some great verses.
