serenadeit's surprising, after vultures 1 i thought there was nothing he could do to be shunned by the culture at large and he would always have a deep repertoire of talented people willing to work with him, but something went seriously wrong after the album dropped. i think he just turned into a bigger arrogant a****** than he's ever been and turned everyone away, but i would like to know the specifics of what happened.
nobody of importance in the industry is acknowledging this album and all of the notable features were done before vultures 1 came out (none of them are acknowledging their presence on this album besides f***ing desiigner).
Vultures pleasantly surprised me bc despite him still being de facto blackballed ā hidden from AM, no playlisting ā it was a good album that did good numbers. The music shone through. Heās not blackballed anymore though. V2 is getting the full streaming promo treatment, with Field Trip and promotion getting placed on all the rap and new music playlists. But itās just a depressingly bad album so it doesnāt matter

he feels more blackballed now than he did after the nazi controversy ngl. i think he got too full of himself because he got a #1 album and a #1 song and isolated himself from everyone. by all accounts, he has treated his friends and employees horribly, i wouldn't be surprised if most of the people who worked on vultures 1 are no longer reachable for him and that's why he has to settle for low rent mixers and producers. somehow endorsing hitler didn't ruin his position in the industry, but just being an all around terrible person did.
