The argument that one user was making is that Drake was the sole reason for Kendrick making music over original beats and he talks about doing it already in the interview for a project titled KLEP that he wants to present with his name change, doesn't matter what the final product turned out to be or how much it changed because that mixtape sounds nothing like Drake's mixtape anyway, it's the fact that KLEP was always meant to be all original music before SFG was released
I said sure cause I was trying to move past how f***ing stupid it is to argue with someone the Drake is why KL rapped over original beats. The point is Drake's SFG made it acceptable to drop a free tape of original music.
Of course KL was making music with original beats and doing freestyles / remixes like all artists at the time. Kendrick Lamar EP is his first full tape of Original music.
