Because some people (like me) like the idea of it being in the context of an album/body of work. Sometimes it can elevate it and make it sound even better. Especially if he goes back and tweaks it a little.

we don’t know if we’ve heard the finished version I’ve heard like 4 diff versions of the leak that’ve floated around so it’ll likely have a new aspect we haven’t heard
not around/TSU is a perfect example from the finished version being diff from the leak

it’s the song you already like but sounds better, and it wasn’t necessarily gonna be a different song if you remove it. the artist doesn’t say “the tracklist will have 18 songs exactly” to make an album lol
plus, it’s your own damn fault for listening to leaks if you played it out already, and you’re in the minority of fans for doing so anyways
I also feel like it’s one of those songs that just needs a home. Damn near a top 10 song oat for me, it needs a proper release

Vital is in my top ten songs of all time I’m so pissed
The fact vital continues to be left off confirms Drake / OVO just don't do a good job usually of knowing what tracks to include and how to best sequence them. They are just saved by the fact Drake is an amazing artist. Iceman was the best sequencing / tracks included they had in a while.
Not sure if they change process for this era but Drake's critical acclaim / reviews would probably be better if they just had better song picking and sequencing consistently.
