beware of these small audiophile labels like The Electric Recording Company and Supersense who'll charge you $400 for a crumby master of an album you could find a better version of for a fraction of the price

thanks! here's what helped me in when I was struggling with buying too much records: all these albums somehow made their way to me at this point in time, so I'll probably be able to get them again if I want to. now I estimate how likely am I to get a particular album in the future and mostly buying something that's cheap, rare, or worth the price

for example I've not seen this Slayer record for a while until it resurfaced for an okay price. figured I dont wanna chase it again so I copped. sometimes it backfires tho: good luck finding Maggot Brain for anything less that $50 without shipping, or any popular Parliament/Funkadelic album for that matter. hope all of it makes sense lol

that said, i had to move my whole collection when ii bought another kallax shelf, ane ive yet to really finish organizing and adding them all to discogs smh

yeah mach vinyl is hella expensive. i'm debating if i should buy pray for haiti cuz the pre-order prices are cheaper relatively speaking, and ik that s*** gonna skyrocket

all that said, I've stopped buying records along with two other things i collect and theres such a peace in my life LMAO

i think so far the only exception i have for vinyl atm is whenever they release attack on titan season 3 soundtrack

bruh don't even get me started on Parliament/Funkadelic. for the past year or 2 im my area, you could find hella cheap OG pressings of One Nation, Mothership Connection, Motor Booty Affair etc. you know the popular ones. then within the last couple months, them mfs have been SKYROCKETING in prices for no f***ing reason. i'm still trying to figure out why

i came across the first Funkadelic album for $50 in pristine condition which was cheap at the time and now on discogs it goes for a lot more lol

one of the biggest Ls in my life was seeing Maggot Brain at a record fair for $20 and i didn't have any cash on me so i told the dude to hold it for me while I went to the ATM. came back, and the mf added an extra 0 at the end cuz he knew he f***ed up f***ing piece of s*** man

lmaooooo motherfuckers doing you dirty right in front of you gotta be the worst. I had one dude selling Zappa's Freak Out in shrink for 15 bucks and once I literally said 'hey thats not bad' and after some chat he was like 'nah actually thats for somebody else, we misplaced it' or whatever the f***. never seen that s*** since, to this day im kinda mad and thats not even my favorite Zappa album lol

oh for sure. bro sold me Trout Mask Replica sealed for $20, s*** was going for $60 when I bought it (didn't know that til after I got it tho), he knew it was too good of a deal to f*** it up again

all in all gotta be Over-Nite Sensation, he was going nuts on some of those tracks. shouts to Zoot Allures, Weasels..., and Apostrophe. and Hot Rats of course

San Berdino is my top3 favorite Zappa song so thats a great one. yeah I double-checked my Discogs and for a sec thought there's no way I got it this cheap (I used to add prices to every record I got) but yeah

have you seen the 200 Motels reissue? s*** looks sooo money with that sick ass poster too
