it's so interesting looking back on vince's career because he was very radical in his early music about anti blackness in america/his fanbase and toned it down over time for mass appeal, but it feels like he's circling back now he's off the label. i remember him saying on dark times i think etoufee that the label wanted more street s*** from him and they probably didn't want any of this type of directly political s*** being put out lmao. can't lie though of all the sounds for this kind of song the paris texas sound is a lil trite especially when he's done similar style production in a much more unique and interesting way before
