Nothing annoys me more when there is a good album and a trash ass cover
Don’t disrespect my Goddess like that
CMIYGL was a bigger moment but I feel like this the album Tyler wanted to make. Just something about this album that will have more staying power.
Excited to listen to this in my whip for the first time tomorrow

More so comparing the two artist and their latest body of work. Not the album sonically.
It's been like 3 days fym aging
in other words this s*** came and stayed. I’ve seen an album come out and it really came and went. Cough cough. Staples last album.
Was working OT, had just started playing Aye Free The Homies and my friend that I put onto Vince pulls up with his radio on the forklift blasting the same song

Ok you said you aren’t talking the sonics of the music, you apparently aren’t talking reception wise now, so i guess just the longevity thing you said but the album is still alive every time he does a sold out arena show for the era lmao
I just really don’t see what you mean

Selling out shows does not always equate to an albums being memorable. It’s more of an accomplishment of how the artist has branded him or herself. Usually an artist doesn’t just play the songs from the latest album as well. For instance Kendrick could go on tour right now and sellout arenas.
I can’t remember one bar or quotable from Tyler’s last album, yeah he’s a good rapper but to me his music just doesn’t stick. Just after listening to Vince album a couple of times that line “she lies to my face so I hit it from the back” has been stuck in my head all day.
vince's most vocally energetic project that i've heard has gotta be FM!
he was in his bag on that.

But the album still having legs and accomplishing things nearly a year later on top of that does, and this tour is centered completely around this album from the stage design to the set list
And yeah you remember that line from the album, but how does that equate to this album being what tyler was trying to do thats the part i dont get. Because you remember it more?
