This his prerogative. I disagree with the mindset and think it’s wack as f***, but hey more power to him

As for the ktt niggas, anyone in here tryna shoot him bail for this better not try to say anything in a thread related to rap being devalued. I will remember and I will bring up this thread

Vince doesn’t have to say it to be true music IS his job and my job is music I treat it like a job I do it even when I don’t want to I dedicate hours to it I try to improve at it and put my all into it it’s just a job someone likes esp if they r good at it u could be like the papa johns worker who really loves making the pizza or burger ur making a product tho which is fine

Then he would’ve called it a job, not “flipping burgers” which is a denigrating term used to conjure up the image of easy, unskilled, dumb labor 100% of the time it’s used

The f*** do you mean? Vince is one of the main people that speaks on that topic.

What he said isn’t devaluing rap it’s just the nature of being an artist and making profit from it it LITERALLY is a job where u make a product

Working in a fast food kitchen isn’t even easy idk why we use that as a derogatory term and not being a CEO which is actually an unskilled job

Vince historically doesn’t look down on other jobs that way he’s always said he’s so thankful he makes the money of a doctor, and he’s clarified what he meant alr even if someone took that out of it how can u pick a fav of 10000s of a thing you’ve made esp if they all mean something to u and are tailored for audiences to enjoy

The McDonald’s and “favorite song” part is what takes it from simple acknowledgment that music is literally his job into devaluing territory

If it came out my own mouth I’d be saying I’m devaluing rap. I don’t see how his wording isn’t devaluing but he got it I guess

  • There are definitely mcdonalds workers who have a favorite burger, sometimes theyre big mac guys, sometime they like the double quarter pounder, even a more simple fella might prefer the mcdouble, at the end of the day, just a silly statement to try to make

All them hours in the studio for over a decade and bro still calls it “flipping burgers” and can’t name a single song of his that means anything to him

It’s just sad and pathetic tbh. But sure, Vince is exactly like the working man with his Sprite partnerships and touring the world.
