For All Mankind - Alternative history sci-fi. What if the race to the moon, wasn’t the end of the space race?

Foundation - Based on Isaac Asimov’s novel of the same name.

Dark Matter - what if there were alternate versions of you that tried to steal your life?

Scavengers Reign - Animation. A group of contractors marooned while surveying an alien world.

Pantheon - Animation. Deals with AI, Cyber consciousness, death/immortality. Not just the concepts of if, but the ethical and moral nature of it as well.

3 Body Problem - Based on the novel of the same name. The show is good, I personally am partial to the novel, but the show is different enough that you can enjoy them both for different reasons. Imo best to consume this completely blind, especially if you chose to read the novel. Imo it’s the best sci-fi trilogy of our generation. It is hardcore sci-fi.

Love, Death, & Robots - Animation anthology series.

The Expanse - Can’t go wrong with either the Tv show, or the novels. The Tv show only covers like the first 6 books iirc. Differences between the 2 isn’t as drastic as 3BP show vs novel, but the show combines a few characters from the novels into 1 but again can’t go wrong. Great show, great novels. As far as sci-fi TV shows, this is probably the best imo.

I was genuinely watching that scene wondering what the hell is she suppose to be doing? Im not familiar with Vince Gilligan’s style of comedy I guess. I haven’t laughed at anything watching these 2 episodes. I am even shocked it has comedy tags on the show now that I’m looking at it

The show kinda lost some steam when they hit the logical fallacy of Zosia’s and the aliens whole “we won’t kill any life” directive. I was expecting the aliens reasoning for doing what they’re doing to have more of a purpose. From what we currently know they present themselves without agency when it comes to the 12 humans, but yet propagated themselves without consent across the entire human race.

I’m down for the mystery of getting to what they really want, but my nerd brain needs more

I read a lot of sci-fi books, and watch a lot sci-fi tv. This is a basic premise you’ll find in a Disney channel tv movie. As it is currently presented, 2 episodes in. I said I’m down for a potential mystery to discover what they really want, what they can really do, or willing to do if that is explored further, but if it’s left as is, that isn’t gonna do it for me.

Y: The Last Man had a much better pilot episode but they gonna say I’m hating
