Vicko77bcs was "extremely slow" too, so much that the finale had only 40% of the viewership from the first episode
the plot moved slow at first but the other parts of the show did keep you in. characters, dialogue, it was interesting. carol deadass does nothing for 40 minutes, not interesting
there's 1 main character and everyone else is basically the same character, dialogue is just nagging, plot is not there.

He’s right man. The main reason this has the buzz it has right now is because of Gilligan’s name being attached to it. There are plenty of shows on streaming with interesting premises that nobody watches

Yall are doing too much.
Would it have less viewership? Certainly. But, I still think that pilot would have made a splash regardless. That's for regular audiences but it certainly wouldn't have no 3 pages on here cause it'd still be a critics darling and the people on this site generally follow good taste.

Not only that, a lot of the “slow” criticisms are being defended by saying that’s standard procedure for a Vince Gilligan show. The show is being granted the grace and patience a lot of other shows nowadays don’t get simply because of who is making it, you gotta recognize that at least

The show is minimalistic in it's approach and having the minimum amount of characters is part of the point, you can like it or not but talking about it as if it was a flaw in itself is not very bright, to put it nicely

Breaking Bad final season averaged 7M viewers per episode, and the BCS pilot pulled in exactly 7M viewers. We don’t know the exact metrics of Pluribus other than that it’s Apple TV’s most watched show, and Apple TV isn’t a very popular service to begin with
Plus, this show is coming after Gilligan had TWO highly acclaimed shows, not just one

In terms of tone and approach to story I think it's exactly the same as Vince's other work. It only feels different because of the nature of the story (less characters = more silence)
