NFL 2K that would be good enough to stop letting madden be dog s***
A capcom vs marvel that's not a disaster
Always wanted a gta/sims like game where you could be regular ass civilian, run for president, get locked in prison for years, fly planes to other countries etc. Obviously way too ambitious for todays technology, but maybe in the future
Can say I'm playing a simulation in a simulation
Yes. To the last one.
I just want a good co-op adventure game for me and wifey to play
Also, I would love if they made a sequel to DK64
NBA Street Vol. 4
Super Mario Strikers 2
Jet Set Radio Evo
EA relaunching BIG would literally print money
Mafia 4 in Las Vegas - Scorsese Like
Assassins Creed in India - Climbing the Taj Mahal after assasinating the british King/Queen
Deus Ex part. 3 (Adam Jensen) - being a real cyberpunk game (in Japan), not like CP77
A real open world pirate game - (hopefully skull and bones will be that)
New Red Dead about the civil war, slavery and native americans in the 1860s (playable native character)
Yooo I'll buy all that
Exposing myself for never having played BOTW, can u explain what that game did so well/what GOT took from it? What makes that games open world so good?
One day I’ll get a switch and play it and I can’t wait for that day
imma find you an article where the devs explain their approach to user exploration
from what i remember the wind mechanic where u swipe the touch pad was influenced by BOTW. that wasn’t a mechanic in botw but they were influenced by nintendo’s approach to promoting user exploration. sucker punch thought the wind mechanic would force players to look at the world around them vs a mini map
problem is, it’s conflicting with other design choices especially in the UI. most of the game i mostly spammed the wind thing when i was close to my objective after getting to it from a mini map
there’s sm BOTW does right that gives players the most amount of freedom in any open world game ive ever seen, that i can’t just list it off to you rn. it’s really worth waiting for the experience, i promise you the intro alone will make you fall in love.
i’d say off the top of my head it’s the fact that progression isn’t tied to story, it’s tied to your exploration of the world. there is nothing stopping you from going to the final boss as soon as you get thru the “tutorial” (a fun experience that doesn’t hold your hand)
after that you literally can do anything you want in the game. there’s only one item in the game that you can’t just acquire without a good amount of the game being played. everything else is just a matter of finding it and getting it. there really is still no game like this.
i can make a whole thread about the climbing alone.
tbh i’ll just say what makes BOTW so great, outside of the player freedom, is that nintendo was really good at figuring out what should be realistic/sim and what should be fantasy. i love that i have to eat specific foods for my health and wear the right clothes for the environment or i’ll freeze to death. but i also can scale any mountain with relative ease i see. this mix between rpg, sim, open world, strategy, just hasn’t been perfected yet.
naughty dog and rockstar are kings of making entertaining products, they feel more like emulation of hollywood movies than games. nintendo is unique in that, it’s always about the games all the time.

Amazing! I’m gonna go look up videos and articles. Very well explained I read every word and can tell off that alone how the game must feel when you play it.
DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 4, or a Tenkaichi 2/3 remaster for next gen
A new NFL Street game
A new Backbreaker/ All Pro Football, solely to put pressure on Madden to create a better game
Cyberpunk, but with everything they said was going to be present
San Andreas remake
NCAA Fooball
Bully 2
LA Noire 2, but in a different setting....maybe New York....maybe in present day?
WWE 2k should go more into the direction of HCTP, while maintaining the sim feel that current games have
A new Dynasty Warriors
A new Fight Night with true sim mechanics
A new Skate
A sim NFL 2k game that follows in the footsteps of NFL 2k5
Obsidian to make a new Fallout game

appreciate it, i literally wrote it while sitting on the toilet lol
might make a whole thread tbh bc it's just such an interesting game and we dont get a lot of deep looks into their creative process.

world is crazy but after you play poker, hunt some animal it gets stale.
you get the same npc interactions after a while, the mission design is the same “CJ SHOOT THE TRAIN” from 10/15 years ago
!https://youtu.be/MvJPKOLDSos!https://youtu.be/vhgp_WId5dsthe first one is p long, but these videos sum up my views on the game tbh. the open world is crazy, it’s rockstar they make prime quality games. but nobody has nintendo beat in game design and it’s just a fact.
these games are evolving graphically but that’s about it.
I fully agree with NakeyJakey's video, but even he says the open world in Rockstar games is amazing, which it really is.
It's just the mission design which is awful. Hope they change that for GTA 6.

yes feel like that’s what i’m saying tho tbh. games are great but mission design / the core gameplay is........
mid
a single player break out of prison style game like A Way Out but more detailed and more paths/endings based on relationships made/not made, seasons, changes to the prison, guards, etc. Also with a bit of post break out gameplay like how you choose to "lay low."
Mirrors Edge 3
Portal 3
another Cuphead
Also a new DJ hero game.
