if this exact same writing, narrative etc was applied to a different character w a different name outside the universe of comics then sentiments would be completely different

you have to realize what's carrying this franchise is the character and it's brief cinematic and lengthly comic history alone

I feel what you're saying but even when the first Venom blew up it didn't change the landscape like that imo . CBMs are already following the MCU template and I highly doubt the other Sony Universe movies are gonna do big numbers like this.
