we're probably not going to war and the modern nature of warfare and past failures has rendered conscription an illogical option so there's no need to really worry about a draft

Doubt there’s a draft but I don’t think war is far fetched (not WW3). People That actually have a clue about the Middle East say the guy is basically a cult hero/major commander and killing him is the biggest assassination of a state official by the US in decades. Diff between killing a terrorist head and an actual military official.

Doubt there’s a draft but I don’t think war is far fetched (not WW3). People That actually have a clue about the Middle East say the guy is basically a cult hero/major commander and killing him is the biggest assassination of a state official by the US in decades. Diff between killing a terrorist head and an actual military official.

Don't like the potential of a full out war coming out of this but the general was a menace and a terrorist. He sponsored the attacks on the US embassy and Iraqi military base. It's an endless back and fourth cycle. & he was planning to kill more Americans and allies in the region. Poked the bear.
