Well first of all I disagree with the thought that we shouldn't care about the plight of other peoples just because they're not black.

But even if you do think that is a good idea, in practice it would only hurt your own cause when you present it to the world as such a chauvinistic movement, you won't get the support that you'll need.

Also she uses examples of black people being mistreated in the Middle East as reasons for why people shouldn't care for what goes on over there (which is in itself contradictory), but she ignores how Western involvement usually directly contributes to the worsening of the treatment of black people in the Middle East and North Africa, since they almost always support the most reactionary elements of those societies.

This even becomes apparent in her own example of African migrants being wrongly-held in Yemen: they're being held by the Western-backed Yemeni govt because they were suspected of joining an anti-Saudi and anti-Western rebel group.

Another one would be how the West knowingly supported overtly racist rebels in Libya when they overthrew Gaddafi, and these rebels are now selling black people as slaves.
