Just got out the IMAX theatre and omg the music was fantastic, the slow build was excellent, there was awesome character development, and just a really engaging story.

It’s also a perfect film for families (except kids obv) but like I am ready to rewatch it now

I think it’s a bit more ambivalent than that. Making Remmick less nuanced would be so easy and he chooses not also Sammy’s choice represents some gray area too. I appreciate Coogler doesn’t put too fine a point on it and it’s a bit more of a Rorschach test. The plantation coins and the Roman gold are twin images… I think the movie portrays the interior struggle of being a popular artist perfectly.
