that s*** pmo
like he's finally free and they talking bout "do static shock!"
Nah what? Static shock is crazy

If Sinners is the kind of original story he's coming with, I never want him to have to work within the confines of an established idea ever again. Of course, as of now, he's already said he's working on an X-Files show
I'll watch that too, but I really wanna see what his next original project is gonna be. Black Panther can go to hell, honestly. I ain't really care for them movies for some reason or another.
Still wondering if Ryan was originally asked to do Blade but then decided to do his own thing when Marvel prolly tried to control his vision
100% could see that and probably happy it didn’t end up that way cause it seems like Ryan was able to completely expand on that world making it its own thing.
Might be harder to come up with a concept now
Now that yall mention it I can see this joint being spun off from a Blade script

Marvel dropped the ball so hard bc if this turns into a franchise it’s over for buddy blade smh
I don’t want this to become a franchise. I’d rather him make more original work.

I would love to see how it plays out in the 90s but making this a one off would be goated
They finally realized the “DEI joke” doesn’t work, and logically makes zero sense.
i dont think they'll change their ways. I think they just don't want to acknowledge this movie, because it proves their whole "Go 'Woke' Go Broke" arguments.
The second a movie with a black and/or cast flops again they'll be on its ass
I noticed that all of the usual right winged, "anti-woke" youtubers are pretending this movie doesn't exist.
They had time to review and make 10 videos a week on Captain America with a black man as Captain America. They had time to make 10 videos videos a week s***ting on G20, the movie where Viola Davis plays a black woman serving as president.
But suddenly when the black movie is getting good reviews, and crushing it at the box office, the usual suspects don't have time to review it, or make coverage on it lmfao
right where is that critical drinker nigga
Still can't get over how dirty that boy got done
watched that show for the first time this year and I always thought he made it through but damn they did son dirty
this, oppenheimer, and dune 2 are the only movies this decade that imo had that “instant classic” feel as soon as i left the theater. take with that what you will
the zone of interest, across the spiderverse, challengers, and anora were those ones for me. Dune 2 was up there too

The Batman, killers of the flower moon, the boy and the heron and poor things were also great

Great choices
i bought AMC A-list on my second go
i'll f***ing see it again
AMC a-list is a game changer frfr
right where is that critical drinker nigga
that dude don't even love films, that's what I find most offensive about him
I been right here
Yeah, I mean it's a good movie, but I just don't feel like he hit that tone switch right. Like, what the vampires represent is cool, but I would rock with this if it was just a gangster picture with the smokestack twins, everything BUT the vampires had a lot of potential.
3rd viewing thoughts… ima need Grace after she takes the same long walk as Pearline
the zone of interest, across the spiderverse, challengers, and anora were those ones for me. Dune 2 was up there too
all of those are great too, and i think all of those are classics in the making, but the three that i mentioned just feels the most immediate imo

i’m surprised they didn’t take the demonic route with this one lol
you never see Smoke smile until he holds his baby
Don’t get the hate on the shootout scene with the OG property owner at the end.
My favorite scene (excluding that scene) takes place there, when the property owner is on the floor bleeding, and then asks Smoke to spare him by pleading “I have money!” And then Smoke just rains bullets on him. Thought it was great payoff to close out Smoke’s arc with the whole businessman stuff.
