Yeah but I doubt anyone knows their age right? Like I wouldn’t look at either women like “you def look 10 years older” they all look young
i did look her age up i cant lie
just cause i knew she had to be closer in age to Miles than Wunmi
if it was the pearline actress they would have got it too. it's not a colorism thing it's about how a lot of our aunts and mothers are heavyset
Yeah I deff think it’s more a heavyset thing than a colorist thing.
maybe. i don't necessary think it's bad that, that wasn't peoples first thought upon seeing her. They established their chemistry pretty quickly after her introduction, I don't think anyone is saying their relationship wasn't believable.
agreed just hope we get more leading ladies like this

Yeah I can’t speak for any white folks but I would hope niggas aren’t looking at her saying “nah she can’t be the love interest she too dark”
For me she came across kinda like one of my Aunts at first, the attitude wit the money, that’s the vibe I caught until they mentioned their kid.
Ryan went crazy wit the cinematography and direction
Just found this one it is a bit of a wider shot. Shows a bit more
They got they ass up outta there!
Is this movie doing good numbers? I threw in $50 to see it on the big screen
yep yep. opening weekend was a bit above predictions, biggest original IP opening of the 2020s. this weekend will be important but all signs show that it'll keep chugging along and end up a big success.

Good to hear
I might try to catch it again this weekend to try and catch some things I missed on the first watch
Saw some people disliked the mid-credit scene
aside from closure with his cousin who was previously presumed dead, I thought it put a proper end cap on Sammie’s arc as a musician. It conveyed that he never sold his soul to the industry and opted to perform in smaller venues for the love of the art- which was referenced earlier in the film with his conversation in the Juke Joint with Micheal B.
That was a missed opportunity imo. I thought they was gon circle back to finish dude off later

How would they have found the vampires? Idk it seemed like they was pretty scared to be out at night
Bro said “sun’s getting real low.” ✌🏻
Just did a rewatch and I feel like I know these people. Being able to notice more detail in the second watch made me love this movie even more

What new details you notice?
Almost perfect movie. I really didn’t like the end credit scene and them verbally saying vampire, that felt campy.
That Sami Juke scene almost took me out of it also but appreciate it for what it meant
y’all notice the vultures constantly flying over the juke joint
And the original vampire trio kkk house
Just wrapped my second viewing. Enjoyed it much more unburdened by the weight of expectations. Even the aspects I anticipated to still dislike didn't bother me as much. Thought it would top out at the top of A tier for 2025 but it might very well find itself in S tier before it's all said and done. Have to see how the year shakes out. Strong 9/10 from me
