That’s a valid interpretation but I’ll contend making them brothers instead of twins doesn’t lessen that. Cain and Abel isn’t any less impactful because they aren’t represented as twins.

I feel like the commentary this film makes on religion particularly Christianity in relation to the black community - diaspora in its entirely tbh, is flying over a lot of peoples heads, at least on my timeline. Maybe I’m just projecting perhaps. I feel like those who identify as Christian would have a problem with this film potentially.

After watching Hailee Steinfeld in this I get why Shameik Moore did what he did

Outside of their personal connections Im going to assume its because of her knowledge of the supernatural, she seemed to be the only one that knew anything about it outside of the vampires

Thinking back on this, I believe at one point Stack refers to Smoke as his "big brother". And with Smoke telling Stack, "Sorry I couldn't protect you," makes me think the original dynamic was supposed to be the protective, measured older brother and the hothead, impulsive younger brother. I actually think Smoke killing their father after he beats Stack might've worked better if Stack was younger rather than a twin.

I think if one of the roles really was meant for Majors it's definitely Smoke

They still cared about Annie and their friends and wanted them to join the hive and be a happy family. Do when Smoke killed Annie they were genuinely mourning and upset that Annie wouldn’t be joining them in immortality ||

That was my initial thought! It definitely would be on-type based on their dynamic in Creed 3. But the more I think about it, the more MBJ seems perfect for Stack and Majors seems to fit Smoke. Majors and Wunmi Mosaku would’ve been an incredible on screen couple

Word I think MBJ killed it as Stack. Maybe it’s cus of Creed 3 I can’t really picture Majors being the “leader” when paired with MBJ
