heard he got a top director type deal

He got a deal even top directors haven’t really gotten. The rights for the movie go back to him and his family in 20 years. So it won’t be a WB property, they won’t be able to make any money off of it, won’t be able to make any sequels or spin offs without him.

Could set a precedent. It’ll piss off the studios but directors with a lot of pull can ask for the Coogler deal when shopping their new stuff

having seen in both digital and imax 70mm both have positives and negatives. imax 70mm shows more picture but only for a few action oriented scenes, dolby’s picture looks a lot brighter especially during the night scenes where it’s kinda crucial

Should I refund my (Lie)max tix and switch to dobly, lol?

if it’s a digital IMAX with laser theater than the picture is going to be brighter than IMAX 70mm but still won’t be as bright as seeing it in Dolby. really up to you, there’s only about 25 minutes of film where the entire screen gets taken up the rest of the film is in a non imax format

Deadline reporting 49% of the audience that showed up to see this opening weekend were black. Black Panther was 34% and Bad Boys 4 was 44%. Pretty incredible feat for a big studio blockbuster that’ll probably have a respectable opening weekend. It isn’t like this is a niche movie, this is going to have a solid opening weekend and it’ll be bolstered by the black community showing up to see it. Cool stuff bro is activating potentially new markets and new movie goers with this. And new pathways to having a successful movie

Yes saw this at a downtown Chicago amc theater, and saw maybe 2 white couples. Everybody else was black. 4pm show n full theater

Hailee in that 90s fit might be the best someone has looked on screen this year or decent amount of time.

What role do yall think majors would have had? Smoke so he can act out the emotional ending?

Did enjoy that it felt lived in; didn’t bog down with too much character background

Unless he was gonna replace MBJ entirely, I think the role of Smoke & Stack was always suppose to be twins.

I havent seen you guys hype a movie like this before

  • Apr 20, 2025

But in all seriousness, for a young 20 year old up-and-coming actor, of course their dream would be to star in a Marvel film, it’s what they grew up with
