Man the nigga version of from dusk till dawn should have never been this hyped. Fun movie but not great

That goofy ass movie has none of the resonance of Sinners. Music not as good, acting not as gripping, writing not as solid… I wish y’all would stop bringing it up as a gotcha.

I'm still having fun watching first time reactions of this movie on YouTube. Sucks to be engaged in rage bait like some of ya.

It’s true. This sucks. I know it’s rage bait but I’m still angry.

Sad how everyone turned on this movie.

One of the most interesting things about the Sinners phenomenon is how uncomfortable it has made certain people. There is obviously a certain type of film fan who has always ignored and looked down on black films that have had to bite their tongue for months with fear of looking either biased, racist or just ridiculous. You see it here, the media and the discourse on Twitter. With some of the microaggression articles regarding Ryan Coogler’s Warner Bros. deal and box office discussion, along with the fact that certain publications gave the film rave reviews and then completely left the film off year-end lists. The success of Sinners has really exposed how the industry and media will always view black films.

  • i couldn't be more embarrassed rewatching this at how wrong i was lol

  • the only thing not working in this is Michael B Jordan tbh

This movies great but it's a shame that so many of its "fans" have decided to basically solely talk about it in a way that tries to demean the other films in the award circuit.

This movies legit too good for people to unironically be saying MBJ deserves the Oscar because no one else played two roles in their movie.

In many ways that's kinda what this movies about. Which is ironic because a lot of people that love this movie are doing the same thing in their incorrect approaches and empty criticisms against OBAA.

Both are great movies about different perspectives and we'd be lucky to have two frontrunners like these in any year. And everyone's out to "get" the other as some moral failure of the filmmaker and it's ridiculous.

  • All timer b****es

  • Jordan better win best actor

  • Jan 22

They bout to Kendrick Lamar this s*** at the Oscar’s

    Best hip hop film

  • And they better win at least 10 none of that “here nigga damn” nomination only bull they gonna try to pull

Weird name-call considering how close Nolan and Coogler are. Nolan's probably rooting for Coogler and this movie like you are.

This movie rocks, I'm not being a troll. It would be a frontrunner in any year it would have been released in. It's incredibly important film culturally and it's also fantastic in quality. Nearly all the nominations are clearly deserved.

I'm saying that certain fans of the movie have reduced this film's quality and legacy down to the most basic and simple things (sometimes points that are even incorrect) when it's far better than that.

And if I said that this should probably win most of the tech categories + directing and score but not the script, acting categories, or best picture?

see, you act like a bot

    you're literally proving my points.

The movie's amazing and a worthy winner of Best Pic, but many of the film's fans are acting crazy / hostile at every turn and that's not fair to the film and harmful to its legacy. It just creates bigger divides and backlash to a movie that is so good it really shouldn't have any.
