Not the best setting or customization options
Playing it after SA and discovering that there's no gym, no car customization, no tattoos etc was really disappointing
for real. loved the setting, hated the lack of customization
GTA IV for me was extremely boring. I bought all the expansions n dlc too. I still need to complete like 2 more missions in ballad of gay Tony to finish it up.
I wasn’t invested in Niko’s story at all. The controls for the game felt so bad to me too. It’s my least favorite GTA game to drive around in
same. setting was the only good thing about it
That OoT take makes me sad cause it was my first Zelda and it was one of the best gaming experiences I ever had. But it really isn't even top 3 anymore
Nothing wrong with that bro just means they took the formula and improved on it
But same man I deadass remember playing OoT before I even knew how to read
would have my dad come in and read what the tree was saying, memories…
Dark souls 1 brought me the same feeling when I played it in 2012 and Elden ring did it again

That's a fact about Elden Ring. One of the few games of adulthood that made me feel like a kid again
Hard to take a lot of opinions on old games serious here
like super Mario 64 and OoT slander when those games were groundbreaking at the time. They are damn near pushing 30 of course they aren’t going to hold up in every regards. You had to be there to witness their greatness fr
I will say that TP, MM, and WW are better than OoT. And Sunshine is the best Mario game
I'm playing Mario Sunshine again rn through emulation and idk how they did it but Nintendo was in their bag, the game still looks and controls great

Facts
fludd was such a dope mechanic to add to the gameplay and the vibes throughout the whole game are immaculate

Pachinko mini game
Farcry 2 could’ve been one of the greatest games ever made in regards to its storytelling
breath of the wild has zero replay value for me
I stand by my stance that it's a one play classic.
Witcher 2 was just right
Makes me so happy to see this take on here lately
Smaller in scale but the main story was far better, the second act being completely different depending on your choices was such a brave move and I think I preferred the combat in 2

Oot holds up tremendously well, if you play the 3ds remake (which is still the same game but with quality of life improvements and better graphics). Its still magic to play. Amazing pacing, endlessly replayable, super iconic, top tier ost, fantastic dungeons, fun boss fights, one of a kind atmosphere and a classic but engaging coming of age story. Unlike Mario 64 it doesnt have the camera and control issues, and even then Mario 64 gets those criticisms imo mostly because its compared to the later installments in the series, but thats an impossible standard to reach for platformers releasing even today. Pulling off difficult Jump tricks in Mario 64 is still fun and rewarding despite its aging controls. I play this game at least once a year during Christmas holidays and its still phenomenal, more than sunshine for example
4:3 aspect ratio/Square TVs should make a comeback,games would become more immersive/have a better window effect with a 4:3 aspect ratio tv/monitor

SA easily the best gta and gtav isnt even close. idk why it gets so much praise and such high ratings
Card games/deck builders are f***ing stupid. No idea why they’re so popular
You never played yugioh and it shows! This game was absolutely goated back in the day

I’m playin thru kh2 and this s*** feels like a chore
I remember grinding for 20+ hours to get 1 single orb to upgrade to the ultima key blade and that was exhausting. Def think it’s more expansive then the first though.

Rockstar's games are marvels of technology, it's like they show everyone what a game could be. So people and critics are willing to overlook a lot of what's wrong with their games
RDR2 should not have been getting 10s with that gameplay. GTA 5 should have been criticized for the writing and mission design. But people don't really call them out because their games and attention to detail are so impressive compared to the rest of the industry
Tbh Pokemon's combat system combined with catching mechanics is top 5 game design ever, theres a reason people keep buying buggy/glitchy mess, its that solid ass core that pokemon has that no other series got to that level. I prefer how SMT handles It, but Pokemon got amazing designs, easy enough and intuitive battle system and catching pokemon is very fun. I havent even glanced at a Pokemon game since gen 6, but i cant deny they struck gold
I’ve said it before, imo Ni No Kuni’s combat system (first game not the 2nd) is what Pokémon franchise should have progressed into. Outside of actual monster design, it blows Pokémon out the water.
I don’t even mind the turn based combat, it’s the skill animations that are inexcusable. Its completely asinine that Pokémon Colosseum for GameCube has more fluid animations that any other Pokémon game to date. Pokémon’s fans however, the real crackheads of gamers, will continue to eat any cheap s*** they serve up.
TLOU2 > 1
Uncharted 4 > 3 > 1 > 2
CoD Ghosts is one of the best call of duty games
Fallout 76 isn't a bad game
