News flash: Life isnt always about what you want

Why should the man have to pay if he made it apparent he’s not interested in raising or paying for a child he did not want?

Like obviously it’s her body, she can make her choice on whether to keep the kid or not, but why does the man have to pay REGARDLESS?

What are you even talking about? I support a woman’s right to abortion if she chooses. I just don’t think a man should have to pay if he makes it clear he wants no part in being a father and the woman decides she wants to keep the child knowing this.

Have the kid or don’t have the kid, I just don’t want to have to pay for it if I made it apparent early on that I’m not supportive of keeping the child.

Because if I wanted her to keep the child and she didn’t, I still get no say in it regardless. That’s not equal or fair lol but mfs wanna talk all day about equality and obligations

Sorry man the law supports the woman in this situation because of the high cost and responsibility of raiding the child.

Women are the ones who have to give birth, carry, and nurture the child. She has every right to not want to put herself in that position

That isn't the argument for abortion tho the argument for abortion is it isn't a living person until a certain point therefore abortion is ok.

Which if that's the reality then the baby talk doesn't matter cause it isn't one yet

You will still have to pay child support.

Unless you sign away the rights which is the point right?. Giving men a choice during the same period women do on whether or not they wanna be involved in a potential humans life.

Parenting is a two person job.

Either raise your kid or put it up for adoption

Because somebody has to do it my man. Who is gonna do it? Or are you okay with a child growing up poor and fatherless just because you wanted to play video games?

No, you still have to regardless I’m fairly sure. All it takes is a paternity test

The law also said that the baby that was raised under perfect care in my home is better with the mother who was disgusted to hold her, didn't bother seeing her the entire first year of her life, and since she's had the baby back has been bruised and scratched every week. That's the law we talking about here?

It’s hard for a man or a woman to do it by themselves because of the way the USA is Structured

No, they put themselves in that position together. The woman is an active participant, you’re talking like a woman is just passive in that dynamic.

He shouldn’t have to pay if he doesn’t want her to keep the child and she does want to keep it.

She should be able to have or not have the child at her leisure but the man shouldn’t be held responsible if he made it clear immediately early on that he wanted no part. Where’s the fairness in that 😂 and if not everything is fair then why even push that idealist bullshit in the first place

  • Sep 18, 2021
    DR LONGSTROKE

If not all gender roles and responsibilities are fair, then why do we even have this idea of equality between men and women?

I mean don’t get me wrong I think men and women are capable of accomplishing the same s*** if they apply themselves, the only real area I think women can’t compete with men is physical strength. But if we know things aren’t equal in every area, why pick and choose when to push and pursue equality and when not to ?

You’re trying to broaden this discussion into gender equality when it has nothing to do with this. You should treat women with respect and women should treat men with respect. Period.

We still have our responsibilities and standards of behavior we expect from one another. There are some which are flexible like a woman being a car mechanic, or killing the bugs/rodents in the house, or fixing the car. Or a man being a stay at home father, or hosting a daycare for toddlers, or doing all the cooking and cleaning. Things we ordinarily expect from the other but in theory can be done by anyone.

Pregnancy is a unique responsibility that is exclusive to women that no man can ever take the place of. We understand this since s***Ed in grade school so there are no surprises and no flexibility there. That is the single facet that we are unequal in.

    That changes nothing.
