LIL BIG MAN is so good goddamn. I haven’t bumped in a minute but I really enjoyed that album. Need to relisten for sure, Maxo reminds me a lot of Doris era Earl

Easily top 3 last year. His feature on the aforementioned A Quiet Farwell might be my favorite verse of the decade. His older albums are great too check em out

Yeah I def need to check his old s*** out. Underground is something I really gotta be in the mood to really digest properly. When I am in that mood though

i see you got reloaded already

before i dig too deeply into the rabbit hole i'm just gonna go with what comes to mind

    i'd say

blu & exile — below the heavens
MF DOOM — Madvillainy or MM.. Food
    Benny — tana talk 3
Charles Hamilton — The Pink Lavalamp
Apollo Brown & Planet Asia — Anchovies
Oddisee — Tangible Dream or People Hear What They See
    danny brown — XXX
Freddie Gibbs — Bandana or Pinata
    earl — i don't like s*** i don't go outside
    ratking — so it goes
    elzhi — elmatic
skyzoo — the great debater? (in celebration of us?)
royce — the book of ryan
cannibal ox — the cold vein
    pharoahe monch — PTSD

descendants of cain is the definitive ka project to me
but i'm not mad at honor killed the samurai being there

i feel very strongly about the bitter dose as well...

Tbf Griselda is neither mainstream or underground––I just included them cause they had a big underground following for a while before they blew up

They the leaders of the new underground if I had to peg it. They’re like the most mainstream underground acts in hip hop which in itself is a contradiction but there’s really no other way to describe it

Ayyy glad you enjoyed it dude. I agree completely, like it was super concise and well done. Felt like the perfect length. Easily one of my favorite projects this year just off the first listen

For real i love jazz but feel like tracks drags on sometimes; love the length of each song and how they flow together. Flawless album
