I think umg should have forced Kendrick to either change the lyrical topic of nlu to something inoffensive towards drake like maybe breakfast sandwiches

Or keep the lyrics the same but add damage controlling adlibs like "my bad" and "just kidding" and "not really" after the most offensive bars

I f*** wit push, big fan.. but If I’m UMG I’m letting two of my biggest moneymakers go at it compared to Push who respectfully aint bringing in the numbers Drake and Kendrick are especially beefin

if this all ends up being true/accurate, then it completely changes the way i view drake’s entire career and legacy

I mean it's definitely more truth to it than fiction. Look how hard they been marketing Drake for all these years. The push/promo didn't end until Drake lost and people simply wanted to hear Kendrick more

Unfortunately Drake and his stans just can't accept that and is why we're here still talking about it lol

Drake could've simply taken the L and moved on, but almost everything he's done after Not Like Us dropped made the L even worse lmao

At this point he’s giving his fans a false sense that the narrative will shift any day now on purpose and it’s a damn shame

wait till you find out people have different contractual obligations!

kendrick provides exclusive license to Interscope, while Push released under contract to Def Jam. two very different instances of creative control (or lack thereof) from the labels.
