I am making my debut in here on page 69

But I think there’s gotta be more to the story of leaving UMG/Def Jam than just Kendrick having a feature on the album. I’m confident Push is not making up that part of the story, but I feel like there’s probably other factors involved. This all happened summer 2024 and I feel like UMG hasn’t shied away from Kendrick since then but moreso doubled down on him. But who knows?

It essentially affected his rollout, I would imagine he feels it’s necessary to mention.

One thing I'm still confused about is that didn't all this happen before the Drake lawsuit ??

▫️The objection about the Kendrick feature came from a UMG department that is primarily responsible for reviewing lyrics for copyright infringement & song clearances
▫️The same department was responsible for cutting Push’s features on Pop Smoke’s ‘Paranoia’ & Rick Ross’s ‘Maybach Music VI’
▫️The Kendrick feature is confirmed to not diss Drake, but UMG was adamant that Kendrick change the verse & Push/Steven Victor refused:

“We’re not going to ask him to change the verse. You guys are wrong. Stop looking at this this way. None of this makes any sense.”

so this department has effected pusha before.... interesting

Why was Kendrick supposed to change his verse if its not dissing Drake? Something not adding up

and why was push's verses from the past removed and censored

Ain't it crazy how ever push album for the last 5 years been around drake essentially

Forgot bout that Pop Smoke verse, that time I do agree with them removing his verse lol

Rob Markman says it felt like a state of the union. Maybe it's Control-ish where it's not a direct shot at 1 person (aka Drake) but it's a shot at the whole industry? Idk maybe just the optics of Kendrick talking his s*** on a song with Pusha T

how have we never heard about niggas verses being censored or removed in this fashion from any other artist in the past 10 years besides pusha
