Not every artist on a label is supposed to be the cash cow, plus we have no idea how much Push is paid for the projects so it's hard to say if the label is walking away in the black or in the red for releasing one of their projects. those advances could be relatively small for all we know
plus, a Clipse reunion album in this climate has more appeal after Push had a pretty successful decade-long run as a solo artist

crakcI don’t see a reason to believe the label would want anything other than maximum hype and stoking the beef flames is the best way to do that. I don’t believe the label would actually wanna stop that, but they can say they do because it’ll turn heads
they might have stoked the flames but dropping them serves no one but the Clipse and whatever label they sign to for said album
so i get it from the new label’s pov to run with the story because it works for them marketing wise, but it doesnt work for the previous label was my take
