    Just gonna leave this here

    The Lawsuit Details:
The Claim: Debbie Mathers sued for $10 million, alleging defamation after lyrics on The Slim Shady LP, like "My Mom smokes more dope than I do," damaged her reputation.
The Ruling: A judge ruled in her favor, awarding her $25,000 in 2001, but after legal fees, she received only about $1,600.

“Hey Grok, find me historical data about defamatory lawsuits relating to rap songs. A***yze the data and find an example that best vindicates Drakes lawsuit against Kendrick.”

I don’t see how that matters.

That’s literally why the judge dismissed it the first time do you not remember?

Yes key word I. Obviously I wouldn’t be here arguing these points if I agreed with the judge.

I mean, I doubt you researched it yourself. Otherwise you wouldn’t have left out that it was a settlement and not a ruling.

Or I guess that’s your bias showing? Pick one

I’m old, bro. I just thought about the case and then googled it specifically.

Yes, the judge ruled in her favor. Just because it resulted in a lesser (much lesser) settlement, doesn’t change that fact.

The judge couldn’t have explained it any clearer

Two people who willing participated in a rap battle does not qualify as defamation

Not old and smart enough to know the difference between a ruling/judgement and a settlement I suppose?

That case is completely irrelevant. It’s a settlement. Holds no judgment on future cases. Nothing to discuss here

I never wanna hear Drake stans insult Cole for apologizing. This lawsuit is 100x more embarrassing.

“Drake is playing the long game” sounds so stupid when you see how Cole approached it

Irony. You do know that settlement payouts aren’t made public if it’s settled out of court, right?

100% at least Cole admitted he wasn’t about it and stood on that. Instead of Drake crying about the L

And we know Drake doesn’t need money, sooo, all the “you can say whatever you want about whoever you want in a song and it’s fair game” argument goes out the window because the judge ruled in Em’s mom’s favor.

You insinuated it right here. Are you slow?
