It gives whistleblowers more needed legal protections to come forward and has a Presidential Review Board with subpoena power to help the President disclose information to the public in a controlled process. The bill has had bipartisan support every year in the Senate but a couple House members for unknown reasons keep gutting crucial provisions from the bill that could force the Pentagon and intelligence agencies to turn over evidence.

That one will be a big trigger. The only witness they have thats willing to testify already backed out and eventually came back. Theyre gonna really need to stack the deck and protect these guys if they get legitimate first hand witnesses.

I’m concerned the MAGA politicians are the loudest voices on this issue right now in the House. That Luna chick is a crazy Trump loyalist and Tulsi Gabbard who’s expected to get involved at some point is now pushing the Russiagate s*** as head of ODNI. Hope the news media doesn’t try to brush the next hearing off as more MAGA conspiracies. Democrats in the House like AOC have mostly gone quiet.

I just think there's so much potential here but its starting to get shaky legs. We'll see how the next meeting goes but they really need some people who are credible and have worked in the program. Obviously thats the most difficult step. Those people who could be completely legitimate are going to get raked over the coals.

We saw what happened with Grusch, they tried to paint him like a lunatic in the media and he was a well established govt employee and veteran with major responsibilities. Then, they still ended up recruiting this "lunatic" back into the govt to work for them.

I don’t even know why I care about it that much to keep up with every update in Congress. I got a bunch of family from the Air Force who work in Aerospace that believe it’s being illegally hidden from Congress and the public and they’re concerned about the criminal allegations. They’re patriotic and care about national security but disgusted at the idea of our tax money going to an illegal black budget govt program that’s hiding evidence of non human intelligence and doesn’t adhere to the Constitution. Think exposing it to the public will lead to all kinds of Constitutional issues but think the govt has no right to classify something that paradigm shifting.

We don't trust Congress, more so the Senate or people in the Executive Branch to be honest with the public. I think damn near every person in a position of power that finds out about this program come to the same conclusion that it's too dangerous to tell the public.

That's always so dumb to me because what happens if the "aliens" expose themselves to the public. China and Russia that both allegedly have crafts as well. What if they come out and disclose things? It just seems like way too big of a secret to keep that's gonna end up blowing up in ur face. It's better to get ahead of it and tell the public

Honestly this lol. Weird that as soon as he took office he signed an executive order on JRK, RFK, MLK but stopped short of signing an executive order on UFOs even though he said he gets asked about UFOs all the time and was going to do something about it. Not one word about UFOs so far.

If there’s nothing to hide then all parties should not interfere and just let it pass to put the issue to bed if there’s no there there. The enforcement mechanisms in this bill that has bipartisan support should not be getting gutted every year like it has been by a few members silently if there’s is no non human craft and technology that is being illegally hidden from Congress.
