The KTT2 higher ups trying to suppress the discussion? All the other UFO threads are in the Life section. What's this gotta do with politics
Update by Journalist Ralph Blumenthal who helped break the NY Times story with Leslie Kean in 2017 and the David Grusch story this year on the 1st hand witnesses preparing to come forward.

Didn't the former Israeli space security chief come out and say aliens are real and we have an agreement with them?

I don't think this is a distraction story tbh. Half of the people that read it don't believe it. Govt can come up with much better distractions.

Yeah. People don't give a f*** about this s*** for the most part. If this was a distraction, they would already busted out the pictures of aliens to really get people in a frenzy. This is still being suppressed within the government and now there are forces trying to stop another congressional hearing from happening. This shows that the powers that be are fighting against this information getting released probably cause they're gonna have to get held accountable for the decades of f***ery

It doesn't matter how many people believe the story, the goal of distraction campaigns is not, and has never been, to persuade people to believe something. It's being widely circulated, discussed, argued over, mocked, defended, and scrutinized. It's eating up a portion of popular discourse — a portion that, when combined with other distraction portions, is relevant to public awareness and which topics/events are able to slip by unnoticed.
(This distraction includes the "leaked" and declassified videos taken by military jets that were being shown on every national news network at all times of day a few years ago, and all the fervor about disclosure and debunking attempts that followed it.)
Calling this a distraction campaign doesn't mean there aren't aliens in space, on earth, or interacting with various world governments. Hell, it doesn't even mean the things being described in these stories are false. Poisoning the well has been a cornerstone of intelligence community M.O.s around the globe for decades.
If people behind the scenes were actually trying to kill this story or interfere with more hearings or divulging of information, then there would have been no story in the first place.
Look at all the most famous UFO convention speakers from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s — some of whom have lecture videos that have since become memes among ufo research communities and naysayers alike. None of them, literally not a single one, have ever been given a second of primetime or national network coverage. None of them have ever had any kind of mass awareness touchstone moment from social media and consolidated blog news. Even today when old things that are very similar (or identical) to this new story are so incredibly accessible as a reference for comparisons.
Where the hell was all this coverage, congressional hearings, and popular debate for Mark McCandlish's story? He was still doing public presentations literally less than a decade ago before his "suicide". The documentary Zero Point has been on Youtube for free for 8 years and only has 100K views. This is a very well known story in the UFO research community, and arguably one of the most credible one due to Mark's background and where his interests lay. And he speaks about the very same program from this recent whistleblower news story.
Apparently chalking it up to nobody caring until this particular whistleblower story — that just so happens to involve congressional hearings and reports — is somehow justifiable. Or that it's somehow reasonable to think TPTB are trying their hardest to kill this new information, and that none of this has been manufactured at all.
Tell us
Im asking fam
I know the saudi's have been gunning down thousands of ethiopian refugees trying to walk across their border on a monthly basis for almost 2 years straight now, and that the Saudi border patrol was trained by American military personnel as part of a deal with the kingdom.
But that doesn't seem like it would even be a piece of what is likely multiple big things that are being hidden in the shadow of the ufo s***. Human rights violations are plentiful and arent stopping anytime soon, and barely anyone in the public has ever paid attention to them anyway. Wouldnt be worth the distraction.
Didn't the former Israeli space security chief come out and say aliens are real and we have an agreement with them?
Are you asking me to believe a single syllable uttered by anybody who is or has ever been associated with israel's governance in any capacity?
B**** please

I didn't ask you to do s***. I just saw you mention Israel and remembered that story. You know, cause this is the UFO thread where we talk about UFOs

None of what you said means anything brother. This whistleblower got more attention because he is the first high ranking officer within the US government to come forward with this information. Also the fact that he went through the proper channels by working with Congress for the past 5 years before it reached this stage. After the whistleblower protection act was passed, he went public with his story and a congressional hearing was held. Since then, there have been smear campaigns against the whistleblower and an active pushback from the defense and intelligence communities to stop another congressional hearing from happening. They're trying to bide their time and suppress this for as long as they can

Literally supports the idea that this has been manufactured
