Most religions have things that could be considered aliens though. We can't know for sure because religious books have been translated too many times to know the exact meaning of certain things but I doubt organized religion would collapse. It's against human nature to not want to know more and explore and if aliens are out there the dam will eventually break. They're simply delaying the inevitable if that's the case
