White rock artists doing that absolutely would be a problem especially since the basis of rock is playing the guitar lmao unless you can find an example of that happening thats just not true man lol. Rock’s heyday was before DAWs and s*** to where it could be any other way. Not saying they all were the greatest most dedicated musicians but i think thats tylers point. Aside from getting high and freestyling rap doesnt even have a skill like basic guitar playing thats required for entry

like in one breath hes "idgaf about nothing i am who i am" but u have one interview where hes talking tough tryna bully rap niggas to accept him, then u have another interview like this where hes s***ting on ppl for not being musicians

those same ppl u wanna be accepted by could care less if they are seen as musicians or not bro

i know hes saying its targetted towards those who explicitly say they dont care about the art they just stacking money but its like, jesus christ who cares if u make music youre a musician, its starting to just sound like elitism. its great that he plays piano but he really acts like hes stevie when he's obviously a talented self taught, play everything by ear dude

bruh needs to chill and just work on his craft, hes cool but slandering the genre that made him the way he does just bc he can play some interesting chord voicings with ease is mad corny and i wish he got over himself and was as comfortable with being himself as he says he is

and no, nobody is assuming NLE choppa is an amazing producer lol. i don't think this whole "people assume rappers are actually excellent composers" thing is a real issue that happens in real life.

Because im black and have been in a hotbox freestyle session before and make beats/try to mess with piano every once in a while and know that learning ANY instrument (not just the one white culture prefers mr contrarian lol) is harder than rhyming brags off the top of your head
