There's a bunch of moments on this album that are callbacks to earlier moments in his discography. Same thing Kendrick did with Morale with some of the lyrics

Definitely above Goblin, B******, Cherry Bomb, Wolf, CMIYGL

Need to give it more time before I can put it above Flowerboy and IGOR because they really connected with me and are some of my most listened to albums ever. But at this point I probably think it's "better" than IGOR

The thing about every Tyler album is, there's some really high highs and some really low lows imo. The thing about Chromakopia is, even the lows aren't that bad and there aren't many so it's getting a bit of a boost in comparison

Realized when I played the last one again, he's skipping to random moments of the beat Can basically do that with any rap song and it would sound that decent

In my opinion it’s the highs that aren’t that high here? But I think it’s unique sounding

Blaccmass entire career is off doing just that

Take Your Mask Off and Darling I are in contention for his best songs ever imo, especially the former. Noid, I Killed You, Tomorrow, Like Him and the outro are also very strong songs

I think almost every song has moments I really like. Which is something he's spoken about in interviews and done before, but he really nailed this time

Darling, I, Rah Tah Tah, Judge Judy are all really great stand outs for me that can go toe to toe with my favs by him but I generally like his wonkier beats

If by wonkier beats you mean songs like Lemonhead, Juggernaut, I Ain't Got Time, Who Dat Boy - those tend to be my least favorite Tyler songs If I had to list some of his best imo between Wolf and IGOR it's

I guess I tend to like his more melodic songs with intricate and detailed instrumentals

Will never understand those being peoples least favs man those are NOT his worst songs

Especially who dat boy and i aint got time

I'll spin them but there's a clear gap in quality between those and some of those songs I listed. New Magic Wand and What's Good go hard but I just can't put them above A Boy is a Gun or I Think

igor has no lows

its a good album but i think i have aged out of enjoying tylers music

in what respect? this is his most grown man album topically

Looking at the tracklist and I agree with you But I recently spun it and just wasn't feeling a lot of it, skipped like half the album

Are We Still Friends might kinda be a dud imo Very derivative of the sample and monotonous. I usually just end the album at I Don't Love You Anymore

trippin, derivative of the sample for sure but that doesn't make a song weak. it's the emotional peak of the album, very potent imo especially with everything preceding it

that "don't ... say ... goooood byeeeeeeee" part after pharrell at the end def made me tear up before

They dont get it they take themselves too seriously
