Song is good for sure I don’t go back to it ever though. Flower boy is a great album and changed the public perception for him but it’s his safest album and overall pretty boring to me, it lacks the character of his other work and the production sounds like wolf 2.0 without the charm

It was inevitable for Frank, jet age/internet & earl to do their own thing but the OF movement could’ve went on imo. I wasn’t there so I’ve got no right to pin it on one person I’m sure overall it was the best for everyone but it sucks to see niggas like domo, hodgy and leftbrain get left in the dust. Mike g was cool but he low key trash

hemagloxthis is prob tangential from ur post but i always thought the rap parts on Flower Boy / IGOR were actually better than on CMIYGL
which is funny cause I could've sworn Tyler said in some interview that CMIYGL was him just wanting to bar out/make like a hip-hop tribute album
and he does that well but I just love the writing on stuff like New Magic Wand or Glitter more

Catch me if ya get lost a lotta rapping just to rap. Best flows ever yea but that album and the feats around it was where you started to hear a lot of “tyler’s become boring” from folks.
Massa and Manifesto are definitely some of the best rapping in his career though.
