Seems as though Chromakopia will continue to carry the complaints I have of all his previous albums
but otherwise, should be an interesting and wild listen.
no hatwear
Ok, I get his urge for improving and experimenting in music but that s*** sounds like this

What the hell am I looking at
holy f***ing s*** i forgot that when tyler puts out albums its like clockwork for deaf people to come on here and say that the mixing is bad
did blud even listen to the song?

The singing and mixing are good
yes blud did listen and i recognize the mixing is an artistic choice
i just dont care for it
Anyone s***ting on Tyler’s mixing is crazy
His voice is smooth af
Anyone s***ting on Tyler’s mixing is crazy
His voice is smooth af
His mixing style just takes a minute to get used to but it fits his music
Ayo’s part in this video is really clever . The fact that her cell phone turns in to a gun, basically you don’t know what these people’s intentions are when they run up to you in the street
It reminds me of Vince’s bar on his self titled album…
“When I see my fans, I'm too paranoid to shake they hands
Clutching on the blam, don't know if you foe or if you fam”
The singing and mixing are good
i think tyler would be the first to tell you his singing is bad
Flower Boy and Wolf were the only tyler albums that had completely normal mixes imo
But they fit the projects
i think tyler would be the first to tell you his singing is bad
Maybe 5 years ago

He has some singing that sounds good to me but his singing on this song did not hit for me
Maybe 5 years ago
he’s not a good singer, man.
real asf, that post is crazy why tf niggas care if soccer moms listen to this
Because Tyler is in the business of making spectacles, and soccer moms knowing about Tyler the Creator makes for a bigger spectacle?
"I've never been impressioned by mainstream music in my life, why would I care about the role a mainstream artist plays in influencing other artists? Just relax and enjoy the music bro"
He has some singing that sounds good to me but his singing on this song did not hit for me
like bad singing can be tasteful and work for me, kanye has done it numerous times. tyler just doesn’t and i dont know if thats because of the natural tone of his voice or what
Tyler’s singing on Best Interest was so good
His singing on I Think and Gone Gone really sold the songs to me also and Are We Still Friends
I dont think its like a technical thing just translates feeling. He usually does a good job of knowing when to get an actual singer
Sure, and if a rapper does a press run where they talk about how there's nothing interesting going on in hip hop anymore, only to drop a run-of-the-mill, industry standard album, then the fans who are disappointed because they expected something more interesting also created a narrative in their mind. What's your point?
Youre insinuating that there's a psychopathology at play when people do anything other than blithely appreciate what is being presented to them, when in reality all artists have marketing teams, and fans are enabled to make logical interpretations of what is being communicated to them.
what is your criteria for an album being "run of the mill/industry standard"
like bad singing can be tasteful and work for me, kanye has done it numerous times. tyler just doesn’t and i dont know if thats because of the natural tone of his voice or what
I don’t agree with you
I don’t agree with you
just speaking on my personal taste
