I find that concept to be true artistry and we don't have a lot of artists that care about their product like them. That Southern California Spirit something crazy, most of my favorite artists are from there

lyrically, visually, instrumentally feels like tyler has nothing left to say.. seems like his top priority for an album cycle is to do something that can easily be a halloween costume

but if i want to joke a lil. maybe he wants to dismantle all of these trends and expectations he put on himself and the fans have come to be familiar with. maybe it's time to free himself from 2 year gaps between projects, dropping in a certain season, track #s in captions, etc.

here's how i kind of view Tyler's album in progression. There's two sides.

The more conventional Tyler album

and

The more experimental Tyler album.

The way I see it, he takes turn doing both so...

The more conventional Tyler album

Wolf -> Flower Boy -> CMIYGL

more mainstream sound. Wolf was the album that Tyler made to be taken a bit more seriously as a musician, to get out of that horror-core phase but Flower Boy was the full mechanization of that work which is his most "pop" sounding album to date.

The more experimental Tyler album

Cherry Bomb -> IGOR -> CHROMOKOPIA (TBD?)

These feel like his more riskier projects, sonically speaking. Cherry Bomb was the start of this experimentation but IGOR feels like the full vision coming to e head. more refined but still out there and weird in all the ways.
