then u not really into dude's music like that because this nigga posted the covers when the s*** came out initially you might not have been really into dude which is cool lol but would be odd because u seem really pressed about how this nigga doin him... and saying things like cryptic and mysterious bc a nigga dont wanna give u a snippet or tell u when he gone put some s*** out is very entitled like dawg he could put some s*** out how he want... every fan is different but umm im pretty sure niggas that really f*** wit this nigga music give a f*** how the s*** announced just as long as the music come out at some point... i also dont think switchin a cover on streamin services is manipulative in any way... its his s***

I don't understand how me thinking that Tyler just calling up streaming services to change a couple old album covers purely for the sake of kickstarting some buzz isn't shoddy doesn't make sense. he can do anything he wants to start a buzz but just changing a couple album covers on streaming doesn't feel like a respectable move at all especially when that doesn't even really have anything to do with the album itself that he's rolling out.

I didnt listen to it I thought it was some conversation between his mom and him. if there was a snippet I think that's pretty cool. I don't see how you can deny the album covers were a ploy though considering I literally heard people in the thread about it talking about how the new covers were making them bump the album heavy. maybe it would be better to have started with the billboard that contained the snippet. I just think the album cover change was kinda lame, changing an album cover instead of tweeting something is stupid and there are so much more respectable tactics that could be used

ill probably give the album a try considering there is a good chance he has evolved his sound once again and maybe ill like this one. if theres a positive about Tyler that I respect is he pushes his sound forward most albums

why do you assume it was a tactic tho? that's the part i'm not getting. what would some alternative covers that Tyler has always done since the beginning, and he heavily advertises himself, do for his upcoming rollout? you said that it's making fans stream the album more, idk i have no proof of that so i'll let you have it. but what is the harm in that? what is there to be taken offense to?

Tinashe just changed her Aquarius artwork a few months ago to the cover she initially wanted, is that a ploy too? like i really don't understand the argument in what you think their purpose is, or why it's not a "respectable tactic" if even a tactic at all.

I think there is no way at looking it as anything other than a marketing tactic, do you really think its just come coincidence that he updated them a week before the billboard? considering he did it a week before the rollout

I take back what I said about it being deceitful given light to information I wasnt aware of yesterday I take back what I said about it being deceitful. but I stand by the fact that its manipulative marketing strategy. I understand marketing in general is manipulative and I think an artist can do what they want to start a buzz but I think its a cop out to call up some streaming services and get some cover changes done for the sake of a roll out when they don't amount to anything.
