this mysterious s*** is just such a cheap gimmick

well its not like he made completely different covers they all came wit the OG albums he just switched em out its not that serious lol

People call everything he does "mysterious" now
People call everything he does "mysterious" now
but this is quite literally "mysterious"
well its not like he made completely different covers they all came wit the OG albums he just switched em out its not that serious lol
why do you think he did that? I mentioned this in another thread that this was purely to generate hype. its even worse that he can trick gullible fans into thinking this is part of some artistic vision when its purely marketing strategy
I can't wait for this s*** honestly seems like we are in for some legendary s***... and boy the visuals bout to hit
Tyler must think hes a marketing genius
Bro why you got so much hate towards tyler
I don't like Tyler's personality but I still f*** with his music. I try to ignore his social media tbh.

because of how pretentious this is
because of how pretentious this is
I know tyler is pretentious as hell but I dunno if I could count this as a pretentious act
I know tyler is pretentious as hell but I dunno if I could count this as a pretentious act
how not? I don't see how doing s*** like changing old album covers for no reason other than to stir up some hype for an album rollout and have die hard fans think these album covers have deeper meaning pertaining to their respective albums instead of being a marketing strategy is not pretentious

yeah how is this pretentious its literally like one step removed from a phone call interlude on the album
dude's acting like Tyler set up an ARG geocaching scavenger hunt that links to an encrypted picture of the album cover or something

I would say its more deceitful than pretentious actually

how can this possibly be about my self esteem? genuinely curious on why this would have any effect on my self esteem. these are valid points im making
how can this possibly be about my self esteem? genuinely curious on why this would have any effect on my self esteem. these are valid points im making
then its nothing to go back & forth over
my point wasnt that artist's actions affect your self esteem directly, it's that your lens is so negatively skewed that is causing such a harsh negative take & maybe its worth looking into
like i said nothin to go back & forth over i guess i know better than to "feed trolls" idk why im still typing but i just didnt want to seem like im trying to roast you just pointing out a red flag ig

You're just assuming a whole alot of s*** and passing it off like it's facts

I find it funny you think im trolling when all im doing is saying things and explaining why I same them. the opposite of trolling. im not even seeing this through a cynical lens, just calling it for what it is

these aren't new covers though these are alternative covers that have existed upon each albums physical release
so at most it's just him reminding people of his previous work/track record in promotion of his new album, to assume anything further is kinda unfounded imo
also like how is this any different than what Jay Z did for The Blueprint 3 by recreating his old album covers

!https://youtu.be/kluxDdPjDg8didnt know they were existing covers but my point still stands. its a strategic marketing strategy for him to change them on streaming just a week before this roll out. im sure many haven't seen them like myself and he simply did it stir up hype as a strategy for this roll out and I don't see how anybody can possibly deny that. following the billboard I simply don't understand how somebody can think this is not purely manipulative marketing strategy
love when people get in their feelings when im not making personal attacks and just stating things that are true. I don't care for Tylers music personally but im not attacking that at all, if I was just trolling I would do that but go ahead and just post my avi and get in your feelings
That's him playing the flute, same as in the Coca Cola ad
True that makes sense why it kind of sucked lol, good for him tho
I thought something sounded off with the flute so makes sense that it’s someone still learning
Saying this as a stan

How is it manipulative in any way besides the general manipulative nature of marketing? It’s marketing lol
No one was duped, all his fans said right away when the covers changed that the rollout is starting. You didn’t know the covers existed so you don’t really know enough to speak on all this. I assume you also don’t know that since 2011 Tyler has dropped an album every 2 years in spring or early summer (2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, now 2021 soon), it’s actually not that mysterious because we all know exactly when it’s coming and have had the calendar marked for a minute
