Pretty sure every point has been covered ad nauseam but one thing I haven’t seen is how much Earl benefited from having a mother who was a renowned race theorist and lawyer and having some semblance of a connection with his distant father who happened to be a poet. It’d be impossible to live in self hate or edginess for long. Contrast that with Tyler who was poor as hell coming up ( I.e. the roaches, different black, slurs, and horrorcore have these white kids putting money in my pockets) and had no connection with his dad at all besides whatever his mom told him in passing and growing to resent that (“Nigerian **** now I’m stuck with s***ty facial hair”)

@Mitchell basically what I've come to is that Earl effectively separated himself from all that bs one way or another, even if you feel like he didn't address it directly. In comparison Tyler just... moved on like nothing happened. He may have a line or 2 about it but you can't moonwalk over this lol. He's never separated himself from it in the perception of the gp like Earl has somehow done
