tyler is an odd artist to discuss for me because theres a cult artist quality to him but he is also very successful. closest i can think of is kid cudi in that sense.

the issue with him is that while he did for years do a lot of self hate, he has moved on from that malarkey since igor. the issue comes with the fact that due to that and flower boy, he became a lot of non black ppls intro to rap. instead of modest mouse listening indie kids with kanye west, he sort of brought along the clairo boy pablo billie eilish listeners. which when you become that you will never shake that fanbase. so your fans are gonna be irony poisoned freaks who find you as someone to help filter black music into a manageable package for them.

you could say he reaps what he sows. you could say he is the intro to ppl with black music. you could say it goes maybe a little deeper than that knowing he followed the ye/P blueprint. whatever it is i dont think he can shake this image unless he does what noname does. just sort of have public and intense hatred of said fans until they rightfully f*** off
