it's a shame that ppl are mad at Tyler for some bullshit instead of more valid reasons (subjugating our ears to Goblin, Wolf and Cherry Bomb in succession)
None of those were in HBO’s Succession man what

Let's just say the artist behind KOD artwork claims cole is not like us
on the real, bro was just throwing a hissy fit he got shorted I don't believe the accusation
Oh I'm cool with the artist. Teffy told me Cole would get MAD weird about wanting a naked underage girl apart of the album artwork and packaging to really drive home the message he was trying to get across.
"It's young girls on Instagram and Twitter right now putting themselves in danger with the pictures they post and it's been normalized!"
Like...I actually get it. But my guy there are so many other and less weird ways to get that message across
even those man…
Can’t even tell you last time I listened to either one so you prolly got a point
Who yall got between Meek and Cole?
Meek
That s*** was NOT it at all. And he was still doing them "hold me back bro" lines on that same track too lol. I mean, look, on a human to human level, I get why he backed out, and I almost respect it. If he hadn't jumped in at all, it would be solid.
Exactly
If he said from the jump he didnt want no parts hes a grown ass man, I respect that u dont gotta beef if u dont want to
But making a diss then backing out
let’s hear it lol ill most likely agree
Even that 6/10 is hella high for how i feel about it lmao
From the start, much of Tyler’s antics were an attempt, however fraught, to redefine black culture and what a black person has to be. He often talked about how he was different in that he liked DIrecting, and the color green, and cats, and all this school weirdo s*** that set him apart from other black kids and socially ostracized him in school or whatever
And it was 2010-2012 so it’s all filtered through the culture of tumblr, twitter, and his teenage edginess. It’s a tough spot for him now because his perspective was mostly understood at the time, but cannot be easily explained to anyone just catching up today

he's wrong cause none of this makes you different from another black person lol.
Never got the 4YEO & TPAB comparisons
But KOD & DAMN for sure
KOD is not even in the same ballpark as DAMN what are yall hearing
pretty good album concepts
...i'm trying not to say very bad everything
Who yall got between Meek and Cole?
Cole but that's mostly because I never really went out of my way to listen to Meek Mill. I ended up hearing a lot of Meek passively from my friends in Philly and South Jersey. Not bad, just wasn't something I had an active interest keeping up with.
you really had albums like Pinata and Cadillatica come out in 2014 and niggas were still yelling how classic FHD was.
KOD is not even in the same ballpark as DAMN what are yall hearing
I think it's more in regards to how they went with a more "pop"/mainstream sound
Meek is proof that if your emotion attribute is max out to 9999 people will always give you some grace.
That man was rapping his heart out on Traumatized

Can you post this again in a couple of pages? I feel like we gotta vent about J Cole some more

At the time he sure made a point of it. Maybe he helped change that perception
