These parasocial relationships you guys have with celebs aren't healthy and it's shown in how yall acts when they remind you that no matter how many albums you buy you're just a fan and they don't cater to you .

There’s something to be said about quality. High quality things like good leather that’ll last a lifetime cost money. It’s the rebranded Gildan t-shirts with logos for $300 that are atrocious

Expensive clothing is for people who can afford it

Why wouldn’t you wanna make clothing that was accessible for everybody and not an exclusive group of people? I don’t understand.

Because sometimes you wanna work with fine materials that cost more and raise prices to a place other people can't pay. Like Frank wanted to design jewelry not plastic s*** but real s*** and thus that isn't gonna be accessible for everyone.

i believe the concept of "overpriced junk" shouldn't even exist

ignore it then, buy stuff that isn’t. people buy it and keep it profitable and thats there problem

If Tyler had said this about housing or water then yeah he'd be wrong but he's talking about he's talking about nom essential products and its perfectly fine to do that.

I like Tyler but he's way too harsh on people who are just working-class, like other rappers will vaguely call someone broke but stuff like the 'lunch break' line just comes across as having active disdain for poor people

I agree with what you mean about him being harsh on working class people but the lunch break line was preceded by the “paint full pictures on these drum breaks” line.

I always got the vibe that it’s more like an “I’m chasing my dreams and expressing myself with this music s*** and you’re criticizing me when you chose the safe route”

Again I might be wrong tho

tbf frank is selling lab grown diamonds. even though i like the homer stuff, its way overpriced considering its quality, or at least the quality that is described in the catalog

Then I'd switch my point to be nothing can be overpriced cause it cost what people are willing to pay for.

A Michael Jordan rookie card is just a baseball card until someone pays a million for it ya know?

That's definitely what he's doing, but what about all the people who like his stuff who work regular jobs? He'd be nothing without his fans, just like any other successful artist.

The bar is a multi-millionaire making fun of people for working 9-5s, and even with the criticism thing, honestly? Get over it. If your biggest problem is people not appreciating your 'nuance', wipe those tears on the millions of dollar bills you've earned from all the people who do, track sounds like he gets legitimately mad when he sees someone doesn't like his music on twitter

Again, I really like Tyler's music but personslity-wise he seems like such an a******, and still being this way at age 30 isn't cute anymore

That is the main reason, but even besides that tyler doesn’t have the celebrity endorsement/promotion that frank has for homer

Who we gonna see wearing high end golf? taco?…

    Russ Wilson was wearing it

Yea that’s why I agree, cuz it can rub people who work regular jobs the wrong way as well. His message of people needing to see the world and expanding their mind is admirable in its premise, but the reality is that some people don’t have the means to do so

To thoses unaware, Tyler is planning to transition golf le fleur into a luxury, high end brand like homer

    I don’t think it’ll be successful tbh

I think if he promotes it a lot and the stuff is fire, he could start off pretty decently. But I barely see people irl wear GOLF

Legit man, and you can tell he's hard on the 'stop making excuses, go out and do it' thing, but life is very hard for most people, the reason most people can't afford to travel the world like him isn't because they're lazy

He needs to get that, like pretty much every successful artist, he was extremely lucky, if he started out with that horrorcore sound just a few years earlier or later he would never have made it so big, not everyone can have the planets align for them like that.

Agreed, the Le Fleur shoes always looked great and were pretty affordable, so many good designs in that line, but upping the price like that is gonna alienate those who were already into the brand, and he's gonna have to put in more work to make it appeal to a wealthier demographic
