25 tracks 59 minutes??

Not mad at a lot of shorter songs but I think Tracks 1, 4, 10, 12, 19, 24 will all be very short

Hope the quavo track is like 10 seconds

25 tracks 59 minutes means basically every song is less than 3 minutes which means songs are probably gonna be less fleshed out quick ideas. I’d love to be proven wrong, but I expect more expensive and spicy’s than ego deaths.

If it was a 10 track 59 minute album that would mean we were getting a d’angelo type project of long ass super songs

25 tracks is never ideal but it could’ve been a great double album, like indigo. That being said, I’m very excited about the project. I just see where people are coming from

He is incredibly hit or miss to be fair. I just think, you can’t listen to every song he puts out and then he doesn’t get stale. He still provides good content on a lot of songs

I wanted to hate but disc 1 is almost no skips. At this point if you don’t like Chris brown it’s cause you don’t want to like him not because he’s putting out bad music

Like indigo, that thank you flip with lil Jon, no guidance, heat, burgundy emerald, the song with Bieber, and a bunch more are all great songs

There’s no guarantee that short songs equal unfinished songs

There’s no guarantee that if someone makes a ten song album that they become dangelo

Yeah. But my point is good albums usually have varied track lengths. If every single song is short, that’s often times a bad sign. And I didn’t say unfinished, but definitely less room for interesting musical growth on the track when it’s only 2:30

Speaking on the d’angelo thing I was talking about the lengths of the songs. Almost every song that’s longer than 7 minutes has some form
Of pretty special musical progression. Pyramids is a great example. Hell even Igor which had songs that weren’t incredibly long had a lot of development per song whether it was just a little instrumental or some background vocals or whatever

the reactions to all of this are so interesting.

Less than 3 min songs is a trend now so that’s perfectly fine. I’m getting airplane mode the album vibes with this project. Also some sign language vibes. I’m all the way in. This going to be played a lot !
