I don’t even like g Eazy music anymore but he’s always been on f*** trump f*** 12 putting on new artists and supporting the culture, maybe not the whole of rap culture but he’s respected by most OGs here in the Bay Area I’m pretty sure. Hes collaborated with all of them at least. And he grew up here it’s not like he’s from the suburbs and just jumped his way in
But I’ve seen him speak less on it lately so idk. I do know he still regularly tries to put on new artists from this area though

ty really talented tho. he's the type of artist, who because of his talent could be written off and then one song just takes off. i can see that happening with at least one song from the project.
Why would he want G Eazy on a song tho? is g-eazy still popular? feels like a dated feature to me. Nicki's cool but would have loved to have seen a younger artist on it as well instead of G Eazy or maybe a more surprising pick like Twigs/Skrillex again.

yeah i agree, i just genuinely forget artists like Iggy exist for months and then see some random old song
It's a weird subgenre tho cos you know it when you hear it, but a lot of the parts of the songs are hip hop enough that if you hated the genre for musical reasons you'd probably hate these songs too
Ik a lot of people respect Macklemore but i heard one of his old songs the other day and couldn't wait to leave the room
