Weird that no one mentions Stand For
It was dope. Plus the DJ mustard remix and the diplo alternative version
Was meant to be the first single from Free TC but it didn’t make the album
thatd be why no one mentions it
i agree with yall as an album to listen to front to back this is his best
which is all i do
Can't agree with this at all man, those first 8 songs of Free TC are just amazing.
Besides Your Turn I can't see many more of the songs on here being considered as the best of his discography, unfortunately I can see much of this album being forgotten about shortly, and it sort of goes hand in hand with all the sub 3 minute songs and the number of tracks.
Vocally Ty has had many more highlights on previous albums, and this album relies too much on the same sort of drum patterns of the past few years.
Free TC probably has 5 filler songs. I don't think it had higher highs either
I love Horses In The Stable as much as the next guy but yal are really overrating the s*** out of it if you think nothing here is close

Free TC is probably my favourite album ever and I have such fond memories back from when I was first listening to it, its the reason I really started stanning Ty, all the backstory with his brother and the fact that he spent so much of his own money in getting orchestras etc to record the album
I know you were saying that Feat is his magnum opus, but to me and I think most people when they think about Ty, Free TC already is
I just can’t stop playing Your Turn
It might be a top 10 song oat
when Musiq comes on
this s*** is growing on me heavy. thought it was mid at first listen but I might end up liking this more than Free TC

musiq soulchild kinda renegaded the album to me
But I think this ty best s*** & this might just be my AOTY now
why do people hate this album man I don't get it s*** so well executed
I mean I guess I kinda get it this is 100% kickback ty during a quarantine so maybe they wanted some slow, less party-oriented s***--timing was off for them but this music is impeccable

People have this preconceived idea of a perfect album where there’s minimal features, A1 (& creative?) prod, a small to medium length track list etc
And I think when people skimmed the album, saw the length, features being somewhat predictable they just brushed the whole album off....
I’m thoroughly impressed by the album, I can see myself actually playing the whole thing front to back if I wanted to
Also after watching the tiny desk concert, and seeing just how talented ty is (didn’t know man could shred on the guitar like that) it made me look at the album in even brighter light

I don’t think anyone here hates the album, its not a bad album at all.
I was just giving my honest opinion as a huge Ty stan, knowing what songs didn’t make the album and knowing what he’s done in the past I just think it could have been something greater, but don’t get it twisted I still think theres some quality music on here

This post is it. My man.
Without Ariana’s album bomb, Spicy would be holding at #27 on US Spotify. They need to push it asap, seeing as Expensive likely isn’t gonna be a proper hit.
