call me a b**** again p****
No I've actually been to the border and spoken to people who know about the country and the people inside it. Or were those CIA operatives?
I always knew you were Korean
the issue is because America zeitgeist has made the s*** so divisive that saying something as simple as "free palestine" is seen as political when it should just be common humanity.
yes you can? their are literally tens of thousands of north koreans who live and visit china and japan for work or vacation every year. youre just saying s*** because its easier than questioning this racist crap about north korea being the irl truman show lol.
do you think people in thailand and nepal are visiting the US and Europe in droves? bro these are all third world countries. its cost prohibitive for most Americans to travel globally, do you think some Nepalese peasant farmer is jet setting to Orlando on his vacation time?
also the DPRK is on the US terrorist sponsor list. doesn't exactly make it easy to secure a visa. just use some common sense as to why the US isn't full of north korean tourists lol.
I know people personally from Nepal and I follow people from Thailand on socials. Those countries aren’t disconnected from the world in the way North Korea is.
And it’s not entirely an economic thing either. North Korean government just heavily censors what information can leave and enter the country in a way that most countries don’t.

yeah aight
Lol people downplaying the role of an artist as if it’s not a job bro none of you make art
Sure it’s a job you like doesn’t mean it’s not work
You have to spend a lot of time creating the art, marketing it, talking to your label, going to meetings and interviews, touring every single day for months on mad flights, constantly networking etc
It’s just a well paying job bro 😭and a fun one because they like making music

every country does that lol. what do you think social media algorithms actually do?
will you actually consider the possibility that you're just loud and wrong and racist or am I wasting my time here
Not that I really care but I didn’t expect a Chappell roan thread to turn into a North Korean discussion

I mean yeah but you don’t have a good understanding of NK-Us history you just talking out your ass without understanding why a lot of the policies are in place
and thsi isn’t a history/debate thread so there’s no point going back and forth
But you don’t know what ur talking ablut
yall are really REALLY REALLY pushing lightly how much artists/musicians actually have to go through.
I'm just talking strictly performing. Add the fame on top of that it makes s*** just much more rigorous and taxing both physically and mentally.
And I get it, because to the average bear, that is like, the actual dream to do. But from someone that is on both sides of the table, the grass is definitely very much not green on the inside and WE DON'T REALLY KNOW HOW MUCH MONEY THESE ARTISTS HAVE.
nah i have a good idea of what working in the industry entails, and yes its hard it’s a real job i’m not discounting that but it’s a lot easier than when i was a janitor or when i was working construction

Actually, the only reason it’s easier is because it’s something they enjoy and it pays a lot unless you mean like physically which yes for sure. It’s a lot more volatile of a job that’s more high stakes and significantly requires way more skill, I’d say mentally keeping up a music career and touring is definetely harder than being a janitor. There’s a lot more variables. Especially off the fact that, only a select amount of people can even do the basic step of making good enough music to get there.

waking up at 4 to be at a job site by 5:30 and then getting off around 6pm doing bullshit all day is pretty bad dude

relative.
in a world where niggas was ready to overthrow s***, we would understand everyone is getting victimized in their respective industries and should advocate for better treatment and better pay across the board man I know niggas that have had depressive episodes and panic attacks that toured with superstars.
You just seeing it from a skewed perspective because you worked jobs you hate but haven't worked your passion long enough to the point it BECOMES A JOB.
If what you said would be true WE WOULDN'T HAVE MAD MUSICIANS OFFING THEMSELVES AFTER THEY GET FAMOUS.

sounds like the tour schedule this little band hit me up for before I had to say "hell nah" to the s*** because living situations was "airbnb or whoever we can find in the city"
