I agree with this except the notion that zoomers created generation wars and that millenials are just innocent victims

Boomers and Gen X were going at crazy, Gen X and millenials go at it, so on and so forth

There were a lot of snarky &/or loud millenials who couldnt let the kids breathe for liking fortnite and soundcloud rap before Z was even worried about generational differences. Gen Z going hard on us was a reaction, not spontaneous

I always thought the corny olympics between Millens and GenZ was silly because we had Reality TV, they have streamers. We had 2008 swag they had emoji sweatpants, we were stuck in our Game Boys how theyre on the phone etc etc

the problem boomers and gen x have with gen Z is that we don’t question anything and are too soft when we do question s*** and millenials just don’t give a f***, very me generation

it’s why protests today just…die out lmao. because then you have the apathetic millennials who just don’t care about any of it mixed in with Gen Z who just doing whatever out here

think the rise in social media really f***ed s*** up

I meant boomers and Gen X were against each other. But yes youre right they did dogpile on Gen Z also.

I dont think millenials are generally apathetic but I can only speak for what Ive seen

While discussing the “worst song ever made” this song came up:

    https://twitter.com/justinboldaji/status/1952411103725854789

With many tweets either defending the song and claiming gen z is too cynical to enjoy a corny love song, or criticising the artists and their image, calling it performative hippie to some extent.

IMO this, Riptide and Hey Ho are all fun. That clip from the performance doesn’t help my case lol. They look high asf not in a good way.

My friend saw these two get in a domestic dispute on stage at their concert

There’s something to be said about how zoomers have this irresistible urge to nostalgize everything especially corny music like Black Eyed Peas type s*** but have this visceral, negative reaction reaction at the perceived corniness of “stomp clap” movement ,

    BEP slapped

  • This ain't even that bad. It's worse stomp clap hey songs out there

  • stomp and clap music was just horrendous all around, they had that Lumineers song in this one commercial back then and it would drive me insane

  • I respect it for giving a lane for the whites to stay in though we dont have that these days

  • Animal Collective and its consequences on humanity

  • Aug 6, 2025

Hey Ho by Lumineers and their lil EP the only acceptable thing of pop f***ed folk

  • Aug 6, 2025

    Anyways

Listen to Fleet Foxes, Iron Wine, My Morning Jacket etc.

hella millennials don’t give a f***, just speaking from the many I interact with

a lot of them are nearing midlife crisis time and they’re the first generation to age with social media so they’re tired of politics and just want to travel, get healthy/fit now that there’s more knowledge on that, and have a good time/weekends away from their 9-5 like they did in their 20s except now they’re far from broke and there’s way more to do everywhere

you’ll find a lot of millenials work from home so it only further sets in that sentiment of not giving a f***

Nah zoomers are down bad in this race. Chronically online culture dominated by social media group think, social awkwardness, and the pandemic made it even worse by completely f***ing some of their important formative years.

Yea millennials had game boy and jersey shore but we also had link cables and actually talked about these stupid shows irl. There was a much more social aspect to life compared to the anonymity and online focused gen z life.

Instead of doing all this we could just be like “okay yeah we were corny” then aim to peace it up and make society better

But we’d rather philosophize about how much better we are than the kids who got thrusted into a digital hellhole. Youre not wrong in a vacuum but the conditions are infinitely different and they did not ask for that. They clearly yearn for air

of course a generation whose culture and worldview is anti-human, sanitized, devoid of any meaningful emotion other than complete and utter dread and mental helplessness would hate on something like this

  • Aug 6, 2025

but yeah i feel about 10s same way people who lived thru the 80s feel about that time. lotta good but lotta corny bullshit
