I realize men can be victims too but nobody is making these type of excuses for them because men are expected to have a degree of agency and self sufficiency that women aren't.
I think men in abusive relationships need to make that choice as well but you aren't gonna hear a whole bunch of people infantilizing him as a poor victim who fell prey to manipulation and is blinded by love

How many times have I said that the abuser is a s***ty person? They should be held accountable for their actions of course. But what's the purpose of giving advice to the abuser? If they stop being abusive then the relationship can still work out? The victim needs to leave regardless
