Im sure the new Eastwood will be available everywhere in my town, and I'm fairly sure Uncut Gems will be at one certain theater here. But Hidden Life is the least likely to play anywhere here, and I'll probably end up having to drive down to Atlanta to see that one

But im hyped haha cant remember another release weekend this year (or even last?) that had 3 or more films im highly anticipating drop at the same time

It's been online for a few weeks now, it's not as great as Gook (that was one of my favorites of that year tho) but it's still really good

I feel like he's already big in the indie scene

i mean both his films have been pretty lowkey imo, especially compared to his peers. Plus he's only got 2 films (3 but I've not seen Man Up and apparently it's not great) so over the next decade he could really become "mainstream indie" like Barry Jenkins, Gretta Gerwig, etc.

Oh by "indie scene" i thought you were talking about the more pure version of the term, where all films in it are low key by definition. I wasnt thinking of it in terms of "indie" in the marketing gimmick sense like the larger filmmakers you named.

So yeah, I get what you're saying then. And I hope he does indeed find that level of success in the next decade
