Apparently this can be traced to one entity pivoting from asking people to hoard rare coins to having its mailing list gobble up Trav tickets and paying them commission to do so
Part of the problem here is that, after these people bought all these tickets, “Scott announced that he was going to be adding shows in specific cities, thereby doubling the number of available tickets in some markets.” If you are a fan who bought tickets because you want to see Travis Scott, that’s fine; you still get to see your show, and you are not harmed by the fact that more people get to see him. In a normal concert ticket dynamic, this is good. But if you are a speculator hoping for a price pop, you can’t be happy that Travis Scott is competing with you to sell tickets. In a purely speculative dynamic, it is bad.
